Karen Dahlem is President of Dahlem Consulting International, a business that partners with people to manage organizational change.  Her success is built upon her education, training and experience in assessing organization dynamics and enabling change to occur in a positive environment.

Businesses, both corporate and non-profit, have used Karen's change and transition skills for successful projects. Among her recent clients are Computer Sciences Corporation (several international business units and projects including work with United Technologies Corporation and Nortel Networks), and University of Louisville Hospital.  In addition, she has coached several professionals in career transition.

Past clients note her dedication, tenacity, leadership, diligence, open communication and facilitation skills as reasons to rehire her for future projects.  In addition to these skills, she brings foreign language skills, international / cross-cultural knowledge and experience, and a Masters Degree in her field.  Karen builds relationships that work.

Prior to creating her own consulting business, Karen spent five years at Brown-Forman Corporation in Louisville, Kentucky, working in the Advancing Markets Group, at the time a new and entrepreneurial division responsible for developing business in the emerging markets of the world.  She functioned as a change agent partnering with colleagues on both a local and global level with primary responsibilities including organization development and communication.  Brown-Forman is a diversified producer and marketer of fine quality consumer products (wines, spirits, consumer durables) with over 7,000 employees worldwide.

Before Brown-Forman, Karen served as Vice President of Dahlem Realty Company, Inc., a family owned business with real estate holdings in the southeastern United States.  For twelve years she was responsible for the management of over one million square feet of property, including both shopping centers and office buildings. These twelve years were the informal training ground for her consulting skills and business.

Karen has a Master of Science in Organization Development (M.S.O.D) from American University/NTL in Washington, DC.  She is fluent in French, Spanish and English, has a working knowledge of Portuguese, and has solid communication skills.  She has lived and worked in many regions of the world including Western and Eastern Europe, South America, North America (including Canada and Mexico), Asia, and North Africa.  She collaborates with a consortium of Organization Development consultants whose expertise is also available to her clients.
